O’s Notes: Groove:55 is Yves Adam (sax), Jacques Mignault (p, keyboards), Yves Nadeau (b) and drummer Jacques Gagne. The number 55 is a Fibonacci number, the sum of the numbers 1 to 10! Some of you statisticians will understand the natural harmony associated with Fibonacci numbers! It follow that the band is tight and flows naturally. The program is mostly upbeat smooth jazz that will appeal to a wide audience. Our favorite is the R&B-laced “R&G”.
