O’s Notes: Tom is a smooth sax player that can play both soothing ballads and upbeat dance tunes. Bassist Braylon Lacy leads the way on “That Wayman Smile” a tune that rekindled the spirit of the late bassist Wayman Tisdale. Braxton dedicates the entire album to his memory. The upbeat numbers are plentiful including “Detour Ahead” and “Just In Time”. We also enjoyed “Ventura Highway” featuring vocals from Arthur Dyer and the cool ballad “Home Sweet Home”. They play thirteen relaxing songs including three radio edits. It works for the drive home or as pleasant background music.
