O’s Notes: Solid R&B vocals with all of the requisite harmonizing and meaningful lyrics. Marlon’s voice is smooth and sexy, actually it’s buttery smooth on “For Love”! There are upbeat and mid tempo grooves as well as ballads like “Inspiration” and “Coolin'”. “Afro Blue My Mind” is music with a message that reminds us of Gil Scott Heron. This is a balanced effort with an ‘Old School’ flavor, the stuff that makes your head bob and touches the soul.
