O’s Notes: Vocalist Brianna Thomas serves up a serious dose of R&B, blues and soulful ballads on Everybody Knows. Brianna is not afraid to sing things her way, and that’s not a bad thing. This is her second release as a leader with Conun Pappas (p), Marvin Sewell (g), Ryan Berg (b), Fernando Saci (perc) and Kyle Poole (d). Brianna’s voice is large, soothing and warm especially on “How Much Forgiveness” and “It Had To Be You”. She also delivers gutsy performances on “Since I Fell For You”, “My Stove’s In Good Condition” and “Ain’t Got Nothing But The Blues”. Brianna has a lot to say and we’re ready to listen!
