O’s Notes: Australian saxophonist-composer Jeremy Rose leads a quartet with Steve Barry (p), Noel Mason (b) and Alex Hirlian (d). We liked “All About KB”, “Face To Face”, “Together Soon Enough” and “Religion” in a well-balanced set with seamless exchanges between the musicians. The fresh music is well-developed and explosive at times as they rekindle live interactions post pandemic.
