O’s Notes: John Korbel is a singer and song writer who combines pop, blues, and contemporary jazz with his raspy tone, backed by strong instrumentation on Falling Feels Like Flying. The groove feels good on “New York All To Ourselves”, “Natural Selection”, and the title track. They even include a Holiday track, “First Christmas Loving You” and book end takes of “Wheels Up”. The talented band includes producer keyboardist Mark Falchock, saxophonist Alain Bradette, and guitarist Steve Luciano.
