O’s Notes: We all know Joey D, the new master on the Hammond B3 but who is this singer, Joe Doggs? Think about Jimmy Scott. Doggs has similar voicing and great arrangements to match! The other musicians include Kevin Eubanks (g), Pat Martino (g) and Red Holloway (sax), all top shelf musicians. Joey also introduces a new Hammond that sings at least as well as the original. The results are great, a different twist from DeFrancesco that works.
