O’s Notes: Composer, keyboardist and producer David Bach assembles multiple configurations of musicians for his latest recording. Fierce Heart is a smooth jazz recording of mostly mixed tempo instrumentals. Guitarist Leonard Stevens shines on “Mandalay” and saxophonist David Marq stands out on “We Are the Champions”. We also enjoyed “Strike the Note” and the relaxed “Serenade”.
