O’s Notes: Flam! Blam! is a peaceful session that is intertwined with the sounds of nature. We called the 2012 release drunken cartoon music. This one is more subdued but along the same lines. Fiuczynski plays guitar with a new supporting team of musicians including Helen Sherrah-Davies (violin), Yazhi Guo (oboe, perc), Utar Artun (keyboards), Jake Sherman (keyboards), Justin Schornstein (b), Alex Bailey (d) and Rudresh Mahanthappa (sax). It is an eclectic set, totally different but fully coherent and worthy of attention.
