O’s Notes: Bassist Santi Debriano reigns prominent throughout the set on melodies, as a spirited anchor and a prominent composer. But he doesn’t suppress the talent from his very capable band that includes Andrea Brachfeld (fl), Bill O’Connell (p), Justin Robinson (sax) and Tommy Campbell (d). The wailing solos come from Brachfeld, Robinson and Santi on the swinging “Ripity Boom”. They turn to the mellow side on “La Mesha” including a guitar solo from Debriano, demonstrating yet another talent! Flash of The Spirit has many dimensions and left us energized.
