O’s Notes: Guitarist Ron Jackson leads an organ trio with Kyle Koeler on the B3 and funky drummer Otis Brown. Ron is cooking on “Technophile” and keeps things moving throughout the set, a live recording at Cecil’s in W. Orange NJ. Jackson does a fine job composing an energetic groove for six of nine selections. They drop a little soul into the title track before settling down with a cover of “The Long and Winding Road” featuring guest artists Don Braden (t sax) and Bruce Williams (a sax). Jackson keeps it mellow on his arrangement of “Stars Fell On Alabama” and wrap up with the blues based “Get In The Country”. This is a solid effort.
