O’s Notes: Trumpeter James Suggs serves up a contemporary jazz outing on For All We Know combining fresh arrangements of classic soul, jazz and blues songs. He is supported by an excellent band including Herlin Riley (d), Jeremy Carter (t-sax), Alejandro Arenas (b), and Seth Finch (p). Vocalist Allison Nash adds soulful vocals to “At Your Best” and “Free”. We also enjoyed “Grazin’ In The Grass”, the swinging blues of “Ping Pong Fellowship Pt. 1” & “Black Or White”, the New Orleans groove of “St. James Infirmary,” and “Moten Swing”.
