O’s Notes: Walter plays a sultry sax on ballads, and a bubbly whaling sax on top of the upbeat dance tunes. His transitions are smooth as he makes his instrument sing with cool riffs. The band is right there with him anchored by funky drumbeats and a tight bass line. Adding to the enjoyment of the set are a few vocal tracks, notably “For Her” and the hip-hop ballad “Things Change” with Walter singing! This is a personalized set where Beasley speaks of the perils and pluses of his recent relationships.
