O’s Notes: Jon plays tenor sax and leads his trio with Peter Brendler on bass and special guest Barry Altschul playing drums. The cover is an improvised take on Sonny Rollins’ sax trio recording. This cover is graced with models in bikinis in the dessert! But the music of Jon’s sax trio is HIGHLY energetic and he blows hard, non-stop through a dozen straight tracks. It is a heavy dose of newly arranged classic free jazz on steroids.
