O’s Notes: Veteran guitarist, composer, producer Albare (Albert Dadon) assembles a strong band with Phil Turcio (p), Randy Brecker (t), Ada Rovatti (sax), Phil Rex (b) and Felix Bloxom (d). We liked “Lost Compass”, “Shimmozle”, “New Expectations” and “Adues” in the ten-song set. Freedom has a predominantly peaceful vibe owed to the polished poise of the band.
