O’s Notes: Reuben is a 30+ year veteran on the B3. His groove is soul-laced cool jazz. R&B fans may remember him as the keyboard player in the Fatback Band. He also was once a boxer! But he shows up on Fun House with guitarist Melvin Sparks, Cochemea Gastelum (sax) and Mike Clark on drums to give us a healthy dose of funky, cool jazz. Half of the tunes are Wilson’s own and the balance are covers. We liked “For The Love of You”, “Love Time” and the bluesy “Sweet Feet” but all of the songs are palatable!
