O’s Notes: Ginetta’s Vendetta is pianist Jon Davis, Danny Walsh on sax, bassist Belsen Bullock, drummer Marcello Pelliteri and leader, Ginetta Minichiello on pocket trumpet & vocals. They play mostly standards with a few originals notably “Tell Your Story Walking”, on this Fun Size assortment of jazz. We preferred the instrumentals. Highlights are the swinging “There Will Never Be Another You”, the mellow “Black Orpheus” with a fine solo by Davis, and the alternate takes of “Ginetta” and “Blues For Pop-Pop”.
