O’s Notes: Composer, producer, pianist Andrés Vial leads a serious trio with bassist Dezron Douglas and drummer Eric McPherson. They open hot on “Atonggaga Blues” and the music sizzles all the way through the set with tremendous energy on the lower registers. Vial’s leadership is strong and his melodies are well constructed showing brilliance today and greater promises for tomorrow.
