O’s Notes: Curtis Harmon is the drummer/percussionist/keyboard player from the famous contemporary jazz band Pieces of A Dream. He is branching out here with Bennie Simms (keyboards). They share writing on most of the twelve upbeat tracks. The groove is kind of funky on “Carried Away” featuring Greg Riley on sax. Eddie Baccus (sax) and David Cullen (g) put the spark in the Frankie Beverly classic “Before I Let Go”. Phil Perry breathes soul into “Holdin’ On” and Terea Anderson softens the vibe on “Get Away” making this a well-balanced set!
