O’s Notes: This is an organ trio plus one. The trio is Ken Clark (B3), Dave Hurst (d) and leader John Stein (g). David ‘Fathead’ Newman (sax) is the guest. The music is a combination of cookers and warm ballads originally recorded in 1998. This is timeless music and it could have been recorded in 1950 or yesterday. The reissue includes a few bonus tracks. Any organ blues lover will be in heaven with this release because it is well executed and they approach all angles. “Digits”, “Do Nothing ‘Till You Hear From Me” and the title track are all strong examples of what’s happening on this CD; it’s all good!
