O’s Notes: Chris plays congas, percussion and sings along with his band. They play urban, funky music with a message, Tunkel’s message that is, nothing heavy, just story telling. They open with “Virguiniea Fare”, a showcase for Tunkel and Madhu Siddappa (d, perc). Aaron Dugan and Aaron Nevezie play guitar with John Davis (b) and Amy Carrigan (vocals) making up the rest of the band. We preferred the percussion interludes like “Box Head” with a fierce hip-hop beat and “Sista Soul”, the best of the vocal tracks.
