O’s Notes: Composer Omar Thomas spent over 16 years writing the music for Griot Songs, a collection of seven lengthy selections over two discs. The music is dynamic, yet relaxing. We liked “Nothing There”, “Sail To The Moon” and “Episode d’Azor” best. The liner notes were detailed but 2 font was out of my range, worse than a finance PowerPoint slide! I suspect the vinyl is a better bet.
