O’s Notes: Indian drummer Arvind Ramdas now resides in Vancouver where he launched his debut recording Here We Go. We found ourself bobbing our head to the beats of a solid rhythm section with Noah Franche Nolan (p), David Caballero (b), and Ramada (d). The melodies are mostly from the horns, Spencer Drody (t) and Tamas Balai (a-sax). They open sizzling with “All For None”, and the Latin tinged groove continues through most of seven selections. They take a breath on “Autumn In New York” and the mid tempo “Moon Rays” before closing the set with “Bird Lives”, another burner.
