O’s Notes: Trumpeter Brian Carpenter leads a large ensemble called the Ghost Train Orchestra. They take us back to the music of the roaring 1920s. It was a booming time for the economy and the music supported the celebration with a high swing and dance quotient. They play a dozen period classics including a couple of vocals featuring Mazz Swift. Among the best are “Lucky 3-6-9”, “Hot Tempered Blues” and “Gee Baby, Ain’t I Good To You?” This is a fun set as long as we can avoid the 1929 crash!
