O’s Notes: Motown is not the most popular place on the planet with the demise of the auto industry but Johnnie is “Proud To Be Frame Detroit”. His optimistic attitude is laced into these upbeat blues tunes, eleven in all. He plays guitar as well complimenting the storyline with a warm, mellow underlying R&B groove. There is a lot to enjoy here especially “Spike Boy”, “Reconsider Baby” and “Teach Me To Love” with guest vocalist Thornetta Davis.
