O’s Notes: This is the final recording for the late pianist, Larry Williams. It ended where it started in 1965, at Rudy Van Gelder’s recording studio! Larry was an understated musician who brought a tremendous amount of energy and context to whatever he touched. He plays with a solid team here: Jeremy Pelt (t), Joe Ford (a-sax), Blake Meister (b) and Victor Lewis (d). The eight selections are freshly arranged classics and a couple of originals, beautiful music!
