O’s Notes: Samoa Wilson is a versatile vocalist who teams up with veteran blues guitarist and vocalist, bandleader Jim Kweskin. There are some fun & interesting tunes here like the title track and “The Candy Man”. There’s also some warm sax from Paloma Ohm and clarinet from Dennis Lichtman on “Until The Real Thing Comes Along”. The country blues swagger is not a detractor to jazz fans as the fun-loving lyrics are entertaining! In fact there is more of a jazz bent in the second half with “Our Love is Here to Stay” and “Easy To Love”.
