O’s Notes: Guitarist David Boswell plays smooth jazz that is refreshing and cool. Jimmy Haslip (b), M. B. Gordy (d) and Nelson Rangell (sax) join him to play twelve new original compositions. “Tightrope” and “It’s Possible” have hooks that are catchy and sure to garner lots of airplay. Most of the other tracks are medium tempo easy listening tunes. “Shake ‘n’ Bake” was our favorite of these. The set concludes with two radio edits that have the requisite sizzle and pop.
