O’s Notes: Danish bassist, Thomas Fonnesbæk assembles a trio with pianist Enrico Pieranunzi and Roberto Gatto on drums. Rosario Giuliani plays soprano sax on two selections notably “Orphant In Rome”. Valentina Ranalli sings on two selections as well to add a different dimension to In Rome. Each of the musicians had a hand in composing the music, mostly Pieranunzi. Fonnesbaek plays on the edge and makes a positive statement on songs like “Satie’s Mood” and “Il Giardino Di Anne”.
