O’s Notes: Pat Bianchi plays the Hammond B3 and he can groove with the best of musicians addressing the keys. He makes a definitive point about“In The Moment“NOT being a traditional“Chicken Shack“B3 recording but more of a traditional bebop jazz combo. Guitarist Paul Bollenback and drummer Byron Landham join Pat to form the core trio with guest artists scattered throughout the set. They reshape several pop classics including “Don’t You Worry ’Bout A Thing” and a rather fleeting take on “Crazy”. Kevin Mahogany pours his rich baritone vocals onto “I Want To Talk About You” and vibraphonist Joe Locke blends tones with Bianchi on “Fall” making this a unique and appreciable B-3 outing!
