O’s Notes: Eric is an entertainer, a songwriter and vocalist/percussionist who works his talents to the fullest on“In The Same Place. There are a couple of blues tracks, some fine instrumentation featuring trumpeter Charles Bartlett, saxophonist Gene Ghee, bassist Lonnie Plaxico, Dwayne Broadnax on drums and pianists Danny Mixon & Yoichi Uzeki. Eric’s vocal phrases are as rhythmic as his work on congas. We enjoyed the tunes and stories especially “The bean Song”, “Graduation” and “Everything You Got To Give”. The rhythm section holds it all together.
