O’s Notes: The Dutch, Rembrandt Trio is centered around pianist-organist Rembrandt Frerichs, with Tony Overwater (violin, b), Vinsent Planjer (perc, Whisper kit), Myrthe Helder (violin), Maya Friedman (cello), and Maarten Ornstein (cl), in various chamber configurations. Mohammad Motamedi’s Persian vocals are soaring in front of the symphonic band, rekindling an old world feeling. “In the middle of the Garden”, “Bahare Delkash”, “Kouze Gar”, and the title track are prime examples. This recording will appeal more to lovers of classical music. The music is beautiful is any case.
