O’s Notes: Drummer and percussionist Enrique Haneine leads a quintet on an exotic journey of heavily syncopated, free jazz. Lex Samu (t), Catherine Sikora (sax) and Michael Rorby (tb) handle most melodies while bassist Carlo de Rosa trades punches with Haneine. Lori Cotler adds voice on three of the thirteen selections, all written, arranged and produced by Haneine. Instants of Time is an ambitious endeavor with lots of swagger.
