O’s Notes: Canadian violinist Steven Tsitsos marries western swing with classical and jazz improvisation to create Into The West, a ten song CD that leads his entry into the US market. Much of it is cinematic music that gives Westerns their mood: suspense, action and drama. Tsitsos embellishes these moods with his violin. Highlights include “Desert” and “For A Few Dollars More”. We found it to be more engaging as we listened!
