O’s Notes: B3 master, composer and producer Mike LeDonne assembles his Groover Quartet with Eric Alexander (sax), Peter Bernstein (g) and Joe Farnsworth (d) for It’s All Your Fault, a session with a boat load of energy and enthusiasm. They take it up a few notches on five of the eight selections expanding to Mike’s Big Band. This is not an ordinary large ensemble with the inclusion of Steve Wilson (a-Sax), Jim Snidero (a-sax), Scott Robinson (t-sax), Jon Faddis (t), Mark Patterson (tb) and John Webber (b)! They dial in the funk on the opening title track and reminisce on “Rock With You” including a sweet guitar solo from Bernstein tempered by Alexander’s soothing sax on “Still”.
