O’s Notes: The Sachal Studios Orchestra dedicates this CD to the memory of the late Dave Brubeck. They perform thirteen jazz and popular classics that are each infused with Indian seasoning courtesy of the use of native instruments alongside a traditional orchestra. Nafees Ahmad Khan (sitar) and Ballu Khan (tabla) make strong contributions. Among the best are “You Got It Bad Girl”, “The Pink Panther”, “Ponteio” and “Wave”.
