O’s Notes: Hasselbach takes a ride on the contemporary jazz side armed with his trumpet, flugelhorn and flute. He’s joined by co-arranger Miles Black (g, keyboards), Diane Lines (p, vocals), Kerry Galloway (b), and Stephen Dick (d). This release was recorded Live at the Jazz Cellar in Vancouver, Canada. We liked the funky vibe on “Check It Out”, the Latin groove of “Si Bonita”, and “Comfort Zone”. Mark proves that he is adept in many genres!
