O’s Notes: High Note put together a set of eleven jazzy tracks; both instrumental and vocals, all laced with Rhythm & Blues. They have the groove that makes memories last and spirits rise. Songs like “Let’s Stay Together” and “What’s Going On” by Houston Person backed by Joey DeFrancesco on the B3 just make you feel the moment. Then there’s the foot pattin’ blues of “Night Life” with Melvin Sparks (g) and Dakota Staton singing. It’s cool.
