LKC, 2001, CD
Jazz Ruler Type: Pop+Jazz
O’s Notes: The band is three sets of trios featuring flute (Mark), with combinations including guitar, percussion, bass and drums. The opener is kind of a folksy tune followed by “Baiao Granfino”, a Brazilian based adventure racing thru moods before “LKC Blues” with walking bass, percussion & flute. The last three songs are more reflective. The general program theme is based on African influences in North, South and Central America. Each track ranges from 7 to 16 minutes allowing full development of the moods. It’s well recorded capturing all of the ambiance of the performance.
