O’s Notes: Joocypeach is Dave Putson (b, electronics), Dave Wood (d), Meinrad Litterst (g), Will Bidewell (g) and Stefan Collash (sax). They play a blend of funk and R&B that at times sounds a bit thin. We found the best tune to be the lone vocal track “What’s Going On” featuring guest vocalist Anthony Michael. There are a couple of songs with Latin beats but otherwise the groove is mid-tempo, relaxed R&B. The guitars dominate this effort that represents a good start.
