O’s Notes: Forget about classifications on this one. The only thing that holds true is sound guitar techniques from Workman whether he’s swinging, dazzling us with flamenco, bop or blues. He handles each with poise. A lot of the melodies are in combination with Noel Jewkes (sax). Kim Nalley adds vocals on a couple of tracks, notably “You’re Drivin’ Me Crazy”, to further the variety. With 16 tracks including 3 originals, Josh makes a strong statement.
