O’s Notes: Saxophonist, flautist, composer, arranger and producer Brian Landrus lights up the stage on his latest release Just When You Think You Know. His all-star band includes Zaccai Curtis (p), Dave Stryker (g), Lonnie Plaxico (b), and Rudy Royston (d). The program is a rich set of fourteen selections. They opened with a taste of funk on “All In Time”, grooving on “One Year”, seducing on “Beyond” featuring vocals from Violet Qiu, relaxing on “Trance”, with suspense on “Under Dark”, and our favorite “Untold Story”.
