O’s Notes: Karen does an excellent job of delivering the message of these classic blues tunes. By injecting humor and her own vocal character, she makes each song her own. She sings in front of Tom Zink (keyboards), Chris Wabich (d) and Charlie Ewing (b), a band that is funky and tight. Starting with “Every Day I Have the Blues”, moving through “It Ain’t The Meat” and ending with “Wang Dang Doodle” Gallinger belts out ten strong songs and a very entertaining live performance.
