O’s Notes: Cuban pianist Raul E. Blanco assembles a Latin Fusion band with Brandt Fisher (ts), Noah Austin (tp), Gabriella Aragon (tb, vocals), Joseph Ballestrasse (b) and Anthony Channita (d). The brass is crisp and pronounced right from the opening title track. They contribute strong melodies individually throughout the set, as does the leader on “Fast Wired Blues”. We enjoyed the vocal tracks as well: “Heartbreaker” featuring Aragon and “When I Had You” with Blanco on the mic.
