O’s Notes: Veteran Norwegian jazz bassist Arild Andersen goes solo on Landloper playing his bass with real-time creation of electronic loops. The music is rather spacey on the opener “Peace Universal” but comes into focus on Andersen’s originals, notably “Dreamhorse” and the title track. Arild integrates traditional Norwegian music, jazz standards and classics in a session that goes well beyond the boundaries of a singular musician.
