O’s Notes: Mark Winkler is a Late Bloomin’ Jazzman with a relaxed, cool vocal style that is easy to embrace. He sings in front of a four different groups, usually a quartet, but a trio on “Before You Leave”. David Benoit (p), Grant Geissman (g), John Clayton (b) have notable inputs. We enjoyed the hard charging take of “It Ain’t Necessarily So” and “If Gershwin Had Lived” featuring Bob Sheppard (sax).
