O’s Notes: Paul strikes the hot iron on Lay It Back, a collection of grooving contemporary jazz tracks with lots of radio appeal. He mixes hot originals like “The Workout” with covers of R&B classics for CD that is sure to be one of the summer’s hottest. Jackson has been playing guitar since he could hold one and his skills are polished. He plays with heart, soul and passion never missing a beat. He surrounds himself with some of the best in the business in luring Jeff Lorber (keyboards), Alex Al (b) and Bobby Lyle (p). Highlights are “Don’t You Worry About A Thing” and “Swing It” – a page out of George Duke’s funky book!
