O’s Notes: Guitarist Jim Peterik leads his band through a set of smooth instrumentals and pop jazz ballads. He shares vocal duty with Lisa McClowry who shines on “Morning Song” and “Unconditional Surrender”. Steve Eisen (sax) is featured on “Vehicle” a high-energy track with screaming guitar melodies. The title track is one of the highlights that is a true mission statement for the album win Jim and Lisa singing and Eisen shadowing them on flute. We also enjoyed “Eye of the Tiger”. The music is written all or in part by Peterik bringing fresh air to the contemporary jazz scene.
