O’s Notes: This is a throwback session Live and Unreleased, a recording of the Brecker Brothers from their Great Tour of 1980 at the Onkel Pö club in Hamburg, Germany. The all-star band included Richie Morales (d) Barry Finnerty (g), Mark Cray (keys) and Neil Jason (b). We all miss the late Michael Brecker (tenor sax) but he’s here in full stride with Randy on Trumpet. Among the best are “Some Skunk Funk”, “Funky Sea, Funky Dew” and “I Don’t Know Either” in full-blown extended, live versions!
