O’s Notes: This is legendary Joe, live in Los Angeles in December, 1974 with Jim Hughart (b) and Frank Servino (d). Pass is tireless and burning high octane fuel on thirteen tunes spread over two discs. The program includes pop classics like “You Are The Sunshine of My Life” and “Sweet Georgia Brown”, jazz covers of “Milestones” and “Stompin’ At The Savoy” and a couple of Joe’s own tunes. The solos are unabridged, well developed and enjoyable. Guitar lovers, a la Charlie Christian are in for a treat!
